Have you ever wanted to skate with the Rat City Rollergirls? Here’s your chance to learn from one of the nation’s top ranked derby leagues. Makin’ Bacon Derby Camp is a four week adult camp, during the month of August for novice skaters.. Camp is a 3x-per-week ramp up to derby greatness, ending with a camp-wide bout for friends and family. We guarantee you will get a great workout and learn plenty of new skill drills.

Please note:
- Boot Camp schedule and content will be subject to minor changes.
- Enrollment is limited.
- This camp is for women 18 or older who have primary health insurance and their own skating gear.
- Registration begins May 13th
When: August 2011
What do you need? Full derby gear! Quad skates (indoor and outdoor wheels), helmet, mouth guard, wrist guards, knee pads, and elbow pads.
Who? Female skaters 18+
Where? Rat City’s private training facility in Ballard (address to be sent upon final payment of camp)
Why? Are you ready to tryout? Maybe or maybe not, but either way Rat City does not require potential fresh meat skaters attend our camp. We just want to have fun all summer!

FREE BACON!
Everything is better when it is free, even that which is already delicious. We are offering one full scholarship and one partial scholarship to Makin’ Bacon 2011. All you have to do to enter is submit your response to the following question: Why do you deserve a free ride?
Be creative — our judges appreciate a well-crafted essay but we also enjoy poetry, dance, glitter and flashing lights.
