We have accepted a few extras in case folks can’t make it, but there’s no more room on the track for everyone who wants to come. We keep enrollment low so that everyone involved gets enough personal attention during camp. Get Your Booty In Gear!
Have you ever wanted to skate with the Rat City Rollergirls? Here’s your chance to learn from the All-Stars of one of the nation’s top ranked derby leagues. Makin’ Bacon Derby Camp is a six week adult camp, July 19th – August 28th for skaters of all levels. Camp is a 3x-per-week ramp up to derby greatness, ending with a camp-wide bout for friends and family. We guarantee you will get a great workout and learn plenty of new skill drills.
Rat City Rollergirls are pleased to announce the 2010 dates for our Boot Camp! This is an amazing learning experience for beginning and intermediate/advanced skaters, and we are excited to offer this opportunity.
Register early to secure your spot! Our 2009 Boot Camps sold out, and pre-registration is going quickly.
Please note:
- Boot Camp schedule and content will be subject to minor changes.
- Enrollment is limited.
- We encourage that skaters bring a pen and paper to write down drills. We realize that skaters may take a break and wish to observe or take notes on drills they may use later in their own leagues.
- This camp is for women 18 or older who have primary health insurance and their own skating gear.

When: Mondays 8:30-10:30 p.m., Thursdays 8-10 p.m. (clinics or trail skate), Saturdays 11-1 p.m.
What do you need? Full derby gear! Quad skates (indoor and outdoor wheels), helmet, mouth guard, wrist guards, knee pads, and elbow pads.
Who? Female skaters 18+
Where? Rat City’s private training facility in Ballard (address to be sent upon final payment of camp)
Why? Are you ready to tryout? Maybe or maybe not, but either way Rat City does not require potential fresh meat skaters attend our camp. We just want to have fun all summer!
How do I register? Camp registration will open June 6th. Pay via PayPal and email the completed waiver forms to camp@ratcityrollergirls.com.

FREE BACON!
Everything is better when it is free, even that which is already delicious. We are offering two full scholarships to Makin’ Bacon 2010. All you have to do to enter is submit your response to the following question: Why do you deserve a free ride?
Be creative — our judges appreciate a well-crafted essay but we also enjoy poetry, dance, glitter and flashing lights.
