Get Blasted with the Throttle Rockets!

Drinks! Trivia! Prizes! Bingo! Come out to the Feedback Lounge for a night of fun with your favorite roller derby team, the Throttle Rockets! Test your knowledge, stamina, and awesome bingo skills against the Intergalactic Dominators from Outer Space!
The theme is: Super Heroes and Super Villains! You dress up, and so will we– ’cause there will be a photo booth and prints to take home!
There will be drink specials, unique to the Throttle Rockets! There will be a superhero inspired photo booth to capture those epic super shots!! There will be bingo and trivia! And did I mention prizes?!? Stuffed Cake gift cards, Pink Elephant Car Wash gift cards, Massage gift certificates, tshirts, TR patches, TR flasks, and of course, the free suite in LAS VEGAS for the person who comes up with the best name for the TR fans!!!!!! You want to be there!!!
As you enjoy yourself, you will also be helping us to raise money for uniforms and travel, and helping to support those Rockets in the Rat City All-Star Program!

The Well-Balanced Rollergirl

“It’s not if you get hurt, but when…” is a phrase all rollergirls know. Traumatic injuries occur frequently with roller derby, but if you experience pain with non-contact aspects of the sport, your mechanics may be to blame. This five-part class will help you better understand your anatomy and mechanics, teach you corrective exercises, and prevent overuse syndromes that commonly occur with skating. The core, hip/pelvis, knee, foot, and balance/cross training concepts will all be addressed to make you a more balanced, pain-free athlete.
Sat 6/8 noon – Introductory concepts and the core
Sat 6/15 noon – The well-balanced hip and pelvis
Sat 8/17 noon – The well-balanced knee
Sat 8/24 noon – The well-balanced foot and ankle
Sat 8/31 noon – The well-balanced rollergirl
Each session with consist of lecture, interactive labs, instruction on taping, and open discussions.
